Danish-born Ghanaian midfielder, Nikolas Nartey is set to undergo surgery on his knee after sustaining an injury.

The VfB Stuttgart man suffered the injury during a mid-season training camp last month.

Although it was initially claimed it was a minor injury, further checks have revealed that it is serious and surgery is required.

As a result, the player is now scheduled to see doctors for knee injury surgery in the next few days.

“He has loose knee joints after a hit in training camp. The operation will take place in the next few days. He will very likely be out for about two months,” VfB head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo has disclosed.

The 21-year-old is hoping for a successful surgery for him to start his recovery process as soon as possible.

There is a big possibility that he would return to full fitness in late March.
