Danish-born Ghanaian midfielder Nikolas Nartey, who has battled several injuries since joining VfB Stuttgart in 2019, will have to wait longer for his return to action.

According to VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß, the 24-year-old’s plans for a post-international break comeback have been postponed, as Nartey is still not participating in team training.

"He will certainly need a little more time," Sebastian Hoeneß stated, explaining that Nartey experienced an interim muscular reaction to the increased strain, hampering his recovery. Although the midfielder has been sidelined for over a year, coach Sebastian Hoeneß remains optimistic, noting that Nartey is "on the right track" despite the recent setback.

Nartey's contract with VfB Stuttgart runs until June 30, 2025, but the continued injuries have hindered his development and participation in the squad. The club has yet to set a new date for his return to the field.

According to Transfermarkt Nikolas Nartey's current market value is 600,000 euros.
