VfB Stuttgart's Ghanaian-born German midfielder, Roberto Massimo, will not be part of the squad for their upcoming Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund.

The 23-year-old has been battling illness throughout the week, confirming his absence from the highly anticipated duel.

Massimo, who previously played for Arminia Bielefeld, has made five appearances in the Bundesliga this season. Despite his limited playing time, he has shown promise as a versatile winger, capable of adding depth to Stuttgart's offensive line.

Coach Sebastian Hoeneß announced Massimo's absence ahead of the match, stating, "Massimo has been ill all week and will be out." This is not the first time Massimo has been missing from the squad this season, having been left out on several occasions.

VfB Stuttgart is 3rd on the league table with 57 points after 27 games while Borussia Dortmund is 4th with 53 points.
