Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Boakye scores as Halmstads BK defeat Vasteraas SK

Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Boakye scored for Halmstads BK in their 3-2 away win over Västerås SK on Wednesday.

Boakye bagged his second goal of the season as his side picked up all three points at the Iver Arena

The 27-year-old opened the scoring for the Blue and Black lads in the 3rd minute of the game after he was assisted by his compatriot Sadat Karim.

However, Halmstads gave away the lead when Västerås SK equalised in the 17th minute through Karwan Safari.

After the recess, Samuel Kroon made it 2-1 for the visitors from the spot in the 51st minute. The lead was shortlived as Västerås SK pulled level again courtesy Brian Span in the 71st minute.

Ghana's Sadat Karim provided yet another assist for Sierra Leonean international Alhassan Kamara to make it 3-2 for Halmstads BK.

Ghanaian duo Boakye and Joseph Baffo lasted the entire duration of the game while Sadat Karim played 89 minutes.

Boakye has made five league appearances and scored two goals for Halmstads BK this season.
