Ghanaian international, Thomas Partey will be missing Atletico Madrid’s upcoming pre-season games as they continue preparations for the 2019/2020 season.

The Black Stars midfield enforcer is set to miss the matches after given some time off following his outing with his National team at the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament held in Egypt.

Due to that, the player was left out of the Atletico Madrid’s squad that traveled to the US where they will play three friendly games as part of preparations for the new season before they move to Mexico.

They will play the first match against Chivas Guadalajara on Wednesday, July 24 before moving on to play Real Madrid on Saturday in their second preseason game.

The final game before the team moves to Mexico will be against stars of the American League in the 'All-Star' in Orlando.

The team will play another friendly in Mexico before wrapping up and returning to Spain to wait for the start of the regular season.
