Ghanaian player Evans Mensah wins double with HJK Helsinki

Ghanaian player Evans Mensah and his team HJK Helsinki were crowned as the Finland league champions at the end of the 2017 season.

Out of the 33 matches played in the 2017 Veikkausliiga, Evans played 29 matches and scored 8 goals in this year’s campaign, emerging as one for the finest youngsters in the league.

The Klubi lads won 23 matches, drew 7 and lost 3 games out of the 33 games played and scored 78 goals with a point accumulation of 76 to lift their 28th Veikkausliiga trophy.

Mensah was in some fine form this season and played a crucial role for HJK in winning the Suomen Cup last month.

Evans played 49 minutes in their final league match of the season were they lost 2-3 to RoPS at home.
