Ghanaian players abroad: Mohammed Kudus wraps up season in style as Inaki Williams claims LaLiga's African Best Player prize

Ghanaian players abroad were in the tick of the action again this week, with some wrapping up their seasons while others featured in their penultimate games of the season.

Mohammed Kudus wrapped up the season in style with a spectacular goal for West Ham against Man City. Inaki Williams was named LaLiga's African Player of the Season before their penultimate game of the season.

Premier League round 38

Thomas Partey played around 69 minutes as Arsenal beat Everton 2-1 but missed out on the title to Man City by two points. He has featured in only 14 games for Arsenal after struggling with injuries throughout the season.

Tariq Lamptey came on as a late substitute for Brighton in their 2-0 loss to Man United, making 19 league appearances this season, with three assists to his name.

Antoine Semenyo played the entire game for Bournemouth as they lost 2-1 to Chelsea. He finished the season with eight goals - the joint most by a Ghanaian - and two assists.

Mohammed Kudus scored a spectacular scissor kick against eventual champions Manchester City as West Ham lost 3-1 on the title crowning day. Kudus has eight goals and six assists in his debut league campaign in England.

Jordan Ayew came off the bench late in Crystal Palace’s demolition 5-0 win over Aston Villa. He has four goals and seven assists throughout the campaign.

LaLiga round 37

Iñaki Williams was named LaLiga’s African Player of the Season before his Athletic Club team win 2-0 against Sevilla.

Abdul Mumin played the full 90 minutes for Rayo Vallecano in their 3-0 defeat to Barcelona.

Baba Iddrisu was not in the squad as Almeria held his parent club Mallorca to a 2-2 draw.

Serie A round 37

Alfred Duncan was an unused substitute for Fiorentina in their 2-2 draw against Napoli.

Ibrahim Sulemana played the entire game as Cagliari won 2-0 away at Sassuolo.

Emmanuel Gyasi played the whole game for Empoli as they drew 1-1 against Udinese and fall into the relegation zone.

Caleb Ekuban played over an hour for Genoa as they lost 1-0 to Roma.

French Ligue 1 round 37

Andre Ayew and Le Havre survived relegation despite their 2-1 list to his former club Marseille on the final day.

Salis Abdul Samed was an unsued substitute for Lens as they ended the season with a 2-2 draw against Motpellier.

Nathaniel Adjei missed Lorient’s 5-0 win over Clermont Foot but it was still not enough to save them from relegation. Grejohn Kyei also suffered relegation with Clermont Foot.

Ernest Nuamah came off the bench for Lyon in their 2-1 win over Strasbourg, finishing the season with 3 goals and two assists in 29 games.

Mohammed Salisu starred for Monaco in their 4-0 win over Nantes.

Alidu Seidu played the entire game for Rennes as they lost 2-1 to Reims.

Bundeslga round 34

Christopher Antwi-Adje scored for Bochum as they lost 4-1 to Werder Bremen and will be involved in a relegation playoff. He ends the season with two goals and two assists.

Belgium Pro League

Denis Odoi scored the winner for Club Brugge in their 1-0 win over Anderlecht to leave Brugge within one point of winning the title. Majeed Ashimeru missed the game due to injury.

Kelvin Yeboah scored for Standard Liege in their 4-1 defeat to Gent. Yeboah now has six goals and two assists.
