Ghanaian referees, Abdul Lateef Adaari and Emmanuel Dolagbanu will be among the referees to officiate games at the WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations in Accra.

This has been confirmed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

“Two Ghanaian FIFA Referees, Abdul Lateef Adaari (Centre Referee) and Emmanuel Dolagbanu (Assistant Referee) have been nominated for WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations in Accra.

“The two Ghanaian referees are part of the officials for the biennial competition slated for Accra next month,” a communique from the Ghana FA said on Tuesday.

This year’s WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations is slated for Accra from Wednesday, May 15 to Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

The tournament will feature host Ghana, defending Champions Nigeria, Cote D'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, and Niger.

The Ghana U17 team nicknamed the Black Starlets is far advanced as far as preparations are concerned.

The team is currently in Russia for a four-nation tournament as part of preparations.
