Ghanaian sports persons who kicked the bucket in 2019

Ghana football fraternity lost some key contributes to death at the apex of their Career in the year 2019.

From the demise of former Ghana international  Junior Agogo to the tragic death of sports pundit ‘Evangelist’ Kofi Appiah.

Jnr Manuel Agogo kicked the bucket on August 22 after he got  down with a stroke from 2015, he revealed his Situation to BBC in 2017 in a documentary dubbed speechless in which he appeared to have recovered from the illness.

He began his youth career at Sheffield Wednesday in 1995, he featured for fifteen different clubs in his fifteen years  before hanging his boot in 2012.

Agogo had his first Black Stars call up in 2006 scoring three goals in the 2008 African Cup of Nations hosted in Ghana.

Alhaji A.A Lawal, was a member of the Ghana Football Association Executive Council and Eastern Region FA Chairman under Kwesi Nyantakyi administration.

Lawal died after battling with short illness, his demise occurred at the Nsawam Government Hospital in the Eastern Region of Ghana on Monday.

Evangelist Kofi Appiah, 

The Vociferous sports journalist, passed away after battling with unknown  illness.

Before becoming a sports pundit, Appiah was a gospel DJ and a host at Channel R, he was ardent critize of the past GFA administration.

Malik Yakubu

The New Edubiase FC midfielder met his untimely death at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after he was run over by a motorcycle while jogging on Friday morning.

President the club confirmed it via a release. "The New Edubiase United FC is saddened to announce the death of Abdul Malik Yakubu, a football player of the club who died at the Okomfo Anokye Hospital after he was hit by a motorcycle while jogging."
