Ghanaian striker Charles-Jesaja Herrmann scores in Waldhof Mannheim's draw with Saarbrücken

German-born Ghanaian striker Charles-Jesaja Herrmann scored in Waldhof Mannheim's 1-1 draw with Saarbrücken on Saturday afternoon. 

Charles-Jesaja Herrmann did not start the game at the Stadion Ludwigspark. He came on in the 46th minute to replace Pascal Sohm.

The game got underway with a lot of energy, and the hosts in especially were particularly noticeable. After just four minutes, Rizzuto and Brünker gave the FCS their first significant scoring opportunity.

Right before finishing with his left, Rizzuto entered the penalty area. Fortunately for Buwe, Brünker's header of the strike that Hawryluk could only deflect forward missed the goal.

Pascal Sohm was replaced by Charles Herrmann at the start of the second half, and SVW improved throughout the game.

The ball was won by Fridolin Wagner in midfield. In front of the penalty area, Samuel Abifade advances toward the goal and passes it to Herrmann, who strikes the outside of his foot to make it 1-0.

Kai Brünker scored with a powerful header to equalize for Saarbrücken in the 88th minute.

Waldhof Mannheim will play Freiburg II in their next league game.
