Ghanaian striker Dauda Mohammed has expressed his excitement after scoring his first goal for Esbjerg fB in their 5-2 win over Marienlyst in the Danish Landspokal Cup.

The 21-year-old was handed a starting berth after he was left out of their 3-1 defeat to Brondby over the weekend.

Dauda bagged his debut and side’s 3rd goal of the game after Jesper Luaridsen and Pyry Soiri had given them a 2-1 advantage.

Marienlyst reduced the deficit through Mathias Munk Jensen but a brace from André Petre ensured the Superliga side qualified to the next stage of the competition.

The former Asante Kotoko ace played full throttle, however, there was no place for his compatriot Emmanuel Oti Essigba in the matchday squad.

After the game, he took to Twitter to express his delight after opening his goalscoring account for the club.

The highly-rated striker joined Esbjerg fB on a season-long loan deal from Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht in the summer transfer window.
