Ghanaian striker Majeed Waris has expressed his happiness after scoring his debut goal for Strasbourg as they defeated Toulouse 1-0 in the French Ligue 1 on Wednesday evening.

The 28-year-old started the match from the bench but was later introduced in the second half on the 74th minute and he didn't disappoint.

He found the back of the net to hand Strasbourg an important victory.

After the game, he took to twitter to express his excitement after scoring his first goal for the club.

"Let’s smile and dance together. Happy for the three points and my first goal. More to come Insha Allah. Thanks to the support and all the people that kept believing in me,' he posted.

The former Nantes man joined Strasbourg in the winter transfer window from Portuguese side FC Porto after being benched for the entire period of the first round of the 2019/20 season.

Now on a six-month-loan with the French Ligue 1 side, he is hoping to hit top form in order to attract a permanent move at the end of the season.
