Ghanaian striker Majeed Waris featured for Strasbourg as they lost 2-0 to Nice in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.

The 28-year-old climbed off the bench in the 46th minute to replace Lamine Kone as the hosts suffered their second consecutive defeat of the season.

Nice took the lead courtesy Kasper Dolberg's strike from the penalty spot in the 37th minute of the game.

After the break, Dolberg bagged his brace and his side's second as he clinched all three points for the visitors in the 59th minute.

Waris joined Strasbourg on a permanent deal this summer from Porto after a successful loan spell.

He made seven appearances, scored two goals and won two Man of the Match awards before the 2019/20 season was cancelled due to coronavirus pandemic.
