Ghanaian-born Qatari striker Mohammed Muntari was on target for Al Duhail in their 2-0 win over Al Gharafa in the Qatar Stars League on Sunday.

Muntari lasted for 83 minutes before being replaced by Abdeirahman Moustafa as he helped his side restored their four-point advantage over Al Rayyan at the top of the table at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Before the game, Al Duhail had dropped two points in their first game since the resumption of the league last week, when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Umm Salal.

The Ghanaian opened the scoring for the visitors in the 4th minute of the game before Paulo Edmilson climbed off the bench in 71st minute to seal the victory with a sublime goal to make it 2-0 with ten minutes left to play.

The win ensured Al Duhail stayed on course for the title. With three matches remaining, the Red Knights need to win two to clinch the title.
