In a significant setback for FC Kaiserslautern, star striker Ragnar Ache is set to face an extended period on the sidelines due to a severe ligament injury.

The German-born Ghanaian forward, who had previously been nursing an ankle injury sustained in an away match against Fortuna Düsseldorf, now finds himself ruled out for several weeks following thorough medical examinations.

This unforeseen turn of events leaves a noticeable void in the Reds' lineup, prompting the team to recalibrate its strategy for the upcoming fixtures.

The absence of Ache's formidable presence upfront undoubtedly poses a challenge for the club, prompting speculation about the adjustments and reinforcements that will be made in his absence.

"Unfortunately, the fears have been confirmed: FCK will have to do without Ragnar Ache in the near future. Our striker suffered a ligament injury in the away game at Fortuna Düsseldorf. We wish you a speedy recovery, Ragy - come back soon!" wrote the Reds Teufel on their social media platforms.

Ragnar Ache has six goals in the German second division this season.
