Ghanaian striker Raphael Dwamena keen on Black Stars return after Afcon 2017 snub

SC Austria Lustenau and Ghana forward Raphael Dwamena is burnt on making a return to the Black stars following his exclusion from Coach Grant’s final 23-man squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Gabon.

The 21-year-old striker who had a fine season in Austria, earned his debut call-up to the national team and did impress in a four-day non-residential training in Accra and was included in the provisional 26-man squad for the tournament yet failed to make the final squad.

 

Dwamena who is heading back to his club where he has scored 18 goals in 20 appearances, believes he will soon make a return to the national team for good.

“I was expecting to make it, but unfortunately I could not. I believe it is part of god’s plan for my life. I am still young with a lot of things ahead of me. I need to keep working harder.” He said.
