Ghanaian striker Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim scores brace for Hong Kong Rangers in defeat to Lee Man Warriors

Ghanaian striker Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim registered his name on the scoresheet twice for Hong Kong Rangers bit it was not enough as his outfit succumbed to defeat in the Hong Kong Premier League.

Nassam lasted the entire duration in his outfit 4-2 away defeat to Lee Man Warriors on Sunday afternoon.

In a spirited performance, Lee Man Warriors scored twice in a space of three minutes through Brazilian international Gil and Estonia’s Henri Anier.

Gil opened the scoring in the 9th minute before Henri Anier doubled the advantage for the host two minutes later but the Ghanaian international pulled one back for the visitors before the break.

Japanese international Ryoya Tachibana scored in the 53rd minute before Wai Wong sealed victory for the host in the clash.

But Nassam again reduced the deficit for Hong Kong Rangers in the additional minute as the game ended 4-2 in favour of the home team.

The 26-year-old has scored three goals and provided one assist in three games for Hong Kong Rangers this season.
