Ghanaian teen Benicio Baker-Boaitey bids farewell to West Ham

English-born winger of Ghanaian descent, Benicio Baker-Boaitey has bid farewell to West Ham United as he part ways with the club after 6 years.

The player joined the club at age 10 and has since developed into a fine player. At age 16, he has attracted interest from clubs including Bayern Munich as well as FC Porto.

In the past few months, West Ham United has been in talks with the player and his representatives to have him sign a professional contract.

Unfortunately, no agreement could be reached and hence his departure from the English Premier League club.

In a post on his Instagram page today, Benicio Baker-Boaitey has extended his appreciation to the West Ham United club, its staff, and players for the support during his stay at the club.

“The 6 years has come to an end. A big thank you to all the staff and players West Ham United for everything”, he posted.

Meanwhile, reports reaching footballghana.com is indicating that the highly-rated teenager is on the verge of joining Portuguese giants FC Porto.
