The AZ Alkmaar U19 team has been crowned champions of the 2023 Uefa Youth League.
The team defeated the HNK Hadjuk U19 5-0 on Monday afternoon in the final of the competition.
In the final today, Ghanaian duo Jayden Addai and Ernest Opoku started for the winners.
At the end of a tough contest in the first half, an injury-time equaliser from Jayden Addai shot AZ Alkmaar into a deserved lead.
After recess, Ernest Opoku put on a show for his team and scored in the 70th and 76th minutes respectively to give AZ a dominant lead.
Thanks to another brace from Mexx Meerdink, AZ Alkmaar U19 cruised to a huge 5-90 win over HNK Hadjuk U19 to become Champions of this season’s Uefa Youth League.
