Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei was in action for SC Paderborn in their goalless draw against Augsburg in the German Bundesliga on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old lasted the entire duration of the game as the visitors secured a vital point in their fight against relegation.

Paderborn began with the look of a team determined to fight their way to safety with Antwi-Adjei creating several goal-scoring chances for the side but they failed to capitalise on them.

In the 12th minute, his swinging cross nearly earned the visitors the lead but Streli Mamba failed to connect with his effort.

The visitors came close twice before the break after Gerrit Holtman and Ruben Vargas saw their efforts saved by Augsburg goalie Andreas Luthe.

Paderborn looked the most likely to score as the final whistle approached, but a combination of Luthe’s agility and tired legs in attack meant the game ended goalless, a result that leaves both frustrated in their battle against the drop.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei has been one of the consistent players for Paderborn this term, making 28 appearances and scored one goal in the Bundesliga this season.
