German-born Ghanaian winger Sirlord Conteh has finalized his transfer from SC Paderborn 07 to FC Heidenheim, marking a significant move for both the player and the German club.

The Ostalb region-based team officially welcomed Conteh as their newest signing on Monday, confirming the deal for the winger.

In his younger years, Sirlord Calvin Conteh played for a variety of teams in his hometown of Hamburg: from 2011 and 2013, the attacking player played for SC Concordia Hamburg's youth squad and U17 before joining Hamburg sports club Vorwärts-Wacker Billstedt.

After six months, the then-17-year-old went to VfB Lübeck's U19 team before joining TSV Sasel in July 2014. Conteh played for FC St. Pauli's second squad from summer 2015 until summer 2019, after which he transferred to 1. FC Magdeburg for three years.

Manager Robert Strauß expressed his excitement about Conteh's arrival, highlighting his exceptional speed and predicting that his playing style will complement the team's tactics.

Conteh, 27, signed a contract until 2027, emphasizing his eagerness to embrace the new challenge at Heidenheim.

Conteh himself expressed his anticipation for the move, citing his previous encounters with FC Heidenheim and his familiarity with the Schlossberg stadium.

He believes his experience will enable him to make a valuable contribution to the team, reinforcing his commitment to his new club and expressing gratitude to SC Paderborn 07 for their collaboration.
