Ghanaian winger Winfred Amoah helps Kapfenberg to beat Sturm Graz 3-1

Ghanaian youngster, Winfred Amoah was a key man for Kapfenberg on Friday evening and helped the side to come from behind to beat Sturm Graz II 3-1 in the Austrian 2 league season.

In the Round 20 fixture of today’s contest, the attacking midfielder started for the hosts and lasted the entire duration of the match.

Today, Sturm Graz II had the brighter start to the match and scored in the 24th minute when Milan Toth found the back of the Kapfenberg net.

However, five minutes later, the home team pulled parity through an equaliser from Christoph Pichorner.

On the stroke of halftime, a Mark Grosse strike for the first time in the match handed Kapfenberg the lead to take into the break.

In the pulsating encounter that ensued in the second half, Matthias Puschl also scored to seal a 3-1 win for the home team.

Throughout the game, Winfred Amoah excelled for Kapfenberg and played a vital role in the victory.

This season, the 22-year-old has played 20 matches for his team in Austria 2. He has scored three goals and has one assist.
