New Barcelona signing David Oduro shared insights into his football journey following his move to the Spanish giants.

The 18-year-old left-back joined Barcelona on loan from Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions and will begin his stint at the club’s renowned La Masia Academy.

“"I started playing in my hometown Oti Region when I was very young and then we played justify game and I got scouted by one of the white men and then he brought me to Accra to join one of the teams called Desideros," Oduro told SportyTV.

"From there I started playing from the juvenile side then I got promoted to the senior side which is the Division 2 then from there I moved to Accra Lions. It is a great journey for me because the development was very quick and I am a good learner as well so I think that is what helped me,” he added.

His move to Barcelona marks a significant milestone, as Oduro becomes the first player to transfer directly from Ghana to the club. After impressing during trials with several top European teams, including Chelsea and Bayern Munich, Barcelona secured Oduro’s signature with hopes of making the loan move permanent next summer.
