Ghanaian youngster Edmund Baidoo delivered an impressive performance in Sognal's narrow 4-5 defeat on penalties to KFUM in the Norwegian Cup on Wednesday afternoon.

Baidoo, who started the game, played a crucial role in Sognal's opener and lasted 84 minutes at the Fosshaugane Campus.

The 18-year-old midfielder showcased his skills and vision by providing a brilliant assist for Viljar Stavoe's opening goal in the 72nd minute. Despite his team's eventual defeat, Baidoo's contribution was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing result for Sognal.

Fellow Ghanaian Isaac Twum also featured in the match, coming off in the 117th minute. Marius Årøy replaced Isaac Twum. Baidoo and Twum are hoping to make a positive impact for Sognal this season.

The game was a thrilling back-and-forth affair, with both teams exchanging goals during regulation time. After a 1-1 draw at full-time, the match went into extra time and eventually penalties. KFUM emerged victorious in the shootout.
