Ernest Poku scored and grabbed an assist in AZ Alkmaar u-19's 2-2 draw with Sporting in the Uefa Youth League on Friday afternoon.

After ninety minutes, Alkmaar drew 2-2 thanks to goals from Ro-Zangelo Daal and Ernest Poku. Jayden Addai finally scored the game-winning penalty shot.

The Portuguese got off to a fast start, taking the lead after ten minutes due to a Cabral hit. However, the Alkmaarders showed tenacity, turning a deficit into a lead before the interval with two goals from Poku and Daal.

Sporting immediately leveled the score after the break. Lamba was ultimately responsible for Owusu-Oduro's demise. AZ pushed for a win in the last phase, but goalkeeper Callai made many outstanding saves to avoid Sierksma's club from gaining the lead.

Stam was shown the red card at the last minute after knocking down a player who had broken through. That didn't have much of an impact on the game because the whistle was blown not long after. The game had to be settled by penalty kicks, and Owusu-Oduro took the lead by converting two of them. Only De Jong missed against AZ, and Addai ultimately scored the game-winning penalty kick in the fifth round.
