Ghanaian international, Forson Amankwah is returning to Red Bull Salzburg after spending the first half of the 2022/23 football season on loan at SC Rheindorf Altach.

The talented teenager joined the Austrian Bundesliga giants from Ghana Premier League side WAFA SC in 2021.

While he would show signs of a promising player, Red Bull Salzburg sent him out on loan at Liefering.

He impressed at the end of the 2021/22 football season and returned to his parent club to a lot of applause.

To help him continue his development, Red Bull Salzburg sent Forson Amankwah out on loan again at the beginning of last season.

In the first round of the campaign, the talented midfielder scored two goals and five assists in 18 matches for SC Rheindorf Altach.

After that outstanding showing, Red Bull Salzburg have decided to bring the player back to strengthen the squad of the team.

Salzburg believes it is the right decision especially when the club is set to lose a number of first-team players in the January transfer window.
