Former West Africa Football Academy player Gideon Mensah has been promoted to the first team Red Bull Salzburg.
The 19 year old was also named in the Champions League squad for the Club in the coming season.
Gideon Mensah has been outstanding for the Austrian Club since leaving Ghana.
He played the entire last season at the Club’s youth team FC Liefering where he excelled hence getting the opportunity to join the senior side.
The hugely talented Ghanaian defender played an influential role for the side as they clinched the 2017 UEFA Youth League, beating Benfica 2-0 in the final.
