Ghanaian youngster Issah Abass facing contract termination at Mainz 05

Ghanaian international, Issah Abass could be without a contract at Mainz 05 by the close of the summer transfer window.

The talented attacker joined Mainz four years ago when the club paid 2 million euros for his services from Olimpija Ljubljana.

Although he showed promise, he never quite managed to secure a place on the first team.

With just three Bundesliga appearances, the life of Issah Abass in the last few seasons has been spent away from Germany.

Last season, he spent the campaign in Croatia when he joined NK Rijeka on a loan.

This summer, Mainz 05 decided to permanently transfer the youngster to any interested club.

However, with no club coming for the attacker, it has become difficult to offload him.

Ahead of the closure of the summer transfer window at midnight, reports coming in indicate that the German Bundesliga side has decided to terminate the contract of the Ghanaian.

If he does not secure a move, he will be a free agent on Thursday.
