Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Jayden Addai was the hero of the night as Jong AZ Alkmaar secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over VVV-Venlo in the Dutch Eerste Divisie on Monday evening.
Addai scored the winning goal in the 76th minute, converting a penalty with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner.
The head-to-head record between the two teams before the clash was heavily in favor of Jong AZ Alkmaar, with four wins, one draw, and no losses.
The match started off with a setback for Jong AZ as Lewis Schouten was shown a red card in the 5th minute. However, the team rallied and was able to equalize in the 65th minute with a goal from Denso Kasius.
