Ghanaian international, Alfred Duncan has lauded Sassuolo Head Coach Roberto De Zerbi for helping him tremendously improve as a footballer.
The hardworking midfielder has significantly improved under the Italian tactician and even enjoyed his best season at the club during at the 2018/2019 season where he emerged as one of the best players of the team.
Speaking in a recent interview, Alfred Duncan has stressed that amongst all the managers he has played under, Roberto De Zerbi has had the most influence on him.
According to him, the gaffer has helped him developed his game and that resulted in him improving his statistics last season where he managed to find the back of the net 9 times.
“Of all the various coaches I have had, he has made me grow more”.
“He has moved me from left to right and allowed me to see more the door in the offensive phase. I have made more goals and more assists, for me it was very important”, Duncan shared.
On top of the many goals, Alfred Duncan also provided some assists to help his team last season.
Now just 26 years old, the Ghanaian is hoping to enjoy an even better season when the Italian Serie A takes off.
