Mamadou Sangare scored within 6 minutes to put Hartberg ahead, but Wolfsberger AC improved in the second half. In the 47th minute, the home team's first opportunity to equalize was denied by goalkeeper Sallinger.

Despite Tadic scoring a second goal for Hartberg, Wolfsberger AC did not give up and continued to push for a goal. Their persistence paid off in the 63rd minute when substitute Jasic connected with Maurice Malone to make it 2-1.

Boakye was hit in the penalty area, but the referee did not signal for a penalty. However, Wolfsberger AC were able to equalize just one minute later when Boakye scored on the rebound after Malone's initial shot was stopped.
