The Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, has expressed his pride in the Black Princesses, the country's women's under-20 national team, following their gold medal victory at the 13th African Games women's tournament.

In a show of support and admiration, Okraku quoted a tweet from the Ghana women's national team's official X page, accompanied by three Ghana flag emojis.

The tweet came after the Black Princesses secured a thrilling 2-1 win over Nigeria in extra time at the packed Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday evening.

The match was a nail-biting encounter, with Nigeria taking an early lead in the 23rd minute due to an error by Ghanaian goalkeeper Afi Amenyeku. However, the Black Princesses showed resilience and determination, scoring two goals in the 78th and 90+9 minutes through Tracey Twum and Mukarama Abdulai respectively.

Black Princesses ended their campaign at the ongoing 13th African Games unbeaten.
