Ghana’s Black Starlets hammer Kazakhstan in UEFA U16 tournament

The Black Starlets of Ghana delivered an outstanding performance on Sunday to beat Kazakhstan in the UEFA U16 International Development tournament in Russia.

Ghana came from behind to snatch a resounding 5-1 win over their opponent in their third game of the tournament.

Captain Benjamin Tsevanyo netted the Black Starlets equalizer in the 42nd minute of the crucial game before Joseph Narbi scored to extend the lead for Ghana.

Before the halftime break, Narbi found the back of the net again, notching Ghana's third goal of the game.

The Black Starlets continued their demolishing exercise in the second half, as goals from Abdulai Nortey and Benjamin Hanson sealed a comfortable win for Ghana.

After suffering a 3-1 defeat to host Russia in their opening game, the Black Stars uplifted their performance to snatch convincing victories against Serbia and Kazakhstan in their second and third games respectively.

Before the Kazakhstan's clash, the Black Starlet had recorded similar 5-1 win over Serbia.

Despite starting their campaign with a defeat to the host nation, Ghana's resilience and determination have propelled them back into contention.
