Christopher Antwi-Adjei will be unable to participate in VfL Bochum's upcoming matchday due to muscle problems.

This was revealed at a news briefing on Friday. The winger has been preoccupied with the issues for nearly a week.

In May 2021, VfL Bochum, newly promoted to the Bundesliga, announced the signing of Antwi-Adjei for the 2021–22 season. He signed a contract until 2024 and joined on a free transfer from SC Paderborn.

Antwi-Adjei made his debut for Ghana national team on 18 November 2019 in an AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.

Born in Germany, Antwi-Adjei has played for Fortuna Hagen, Hasper SV, MSV Duisburg, TSC Eintracht Dortmund, SC Westfalia Herne, SC Westfalia Herne, and TSG Sprockhovel 89.

He scored 23 goals for Paderborn in 132 appearances before leaving the club.
