Ghana international Daniel-Kofi Kyereh had to feature for Freiburg II last Saturday against FC Ingolstadt.
The 26-year-old who joined Freiburg from St Pauli in a 4.5-million-euro transfer has been struggling to break into the senior team.
He was not action when Freiburg defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 in the Bundesliga but had to help the second team to victory in the German third-tier league.
The former St Pauli star started and lasted 80 minutes against FC Ingolstadt in the 1-0 home win.
Kyereh has made five appearances this season across all competitions
