Ghanaian international, Davis Mensah has shared his delight after playing a part in Triestina’s friendly match against Italian Serie A champions Juventus over the weekend.

The lower division side engaged the Old Ladies in a friendly encounter ahead of the opening weekend of the regular season in Italy but lost 1-0 despite making a good account of themselves.

Davis Mensah, 28, replaced Leonardo Gatto in the second half and had a decent game for Triestina.

Speaking in a post-match interview, the forward shared, “It was a great feeling to play against the Italian champions, and it was a really good game”.

He added, “Before the game we thought we were going to take a beating and instead at the end you even turn the bales a bit for the defeat but it was nice to challenge Juve”.

“We have reinforced ourselves with strong players and great human depth, we want to win the championship and we believe in it.  If we want to win the championship there is!”.

The Ghanaian will play a key role for his side in the 2019/2020 season.
