The Ghanaian pair of Elvis Manu and Bernard Tekpetey scored for Ludogorets on Sunday when the team thumped Lokomotiv Plovdiv 3-1 in Bulgaria.

After weeks of break following the climax of the 2020/2021 Bulgarian Parva Liga, a new campaign commenced over the weekend.

Yesterday, Champions Ludogorets played as a guest to Lokomotiv Plovdiv in their first game of the 2021/2022 league season.

Having started the match, Bernard Tekpetey displayed outstanding form as he was directly involved in two goals.

First, the winger assisted his compatriot Elvis Manu to score in the 44th minute before finding the back of the net of the home team himself in the dying minutes of the second half.

Despite Dimitar Iliev grabbing a consolation for Lokomotiv Plovdiv, a strike from Kiril Despodov meant that Ludogorets won 3-1 at the end of the contest.

After the game, Ghana’s Bernard Tekpetey was named Man of the Match for his scintillating performance.
