Ghana's Emmanuel Lomotey reveals favourite position at Ligue 2 side Amiens

Ghana's Emmanuel Lomotey makes it clear that his favourite position is midfield, but says it's not a problem for him to play out of position for his side, Amiens.

The 23-year-old is a central midfielder and is sometimes played out of position due to injuries or suspensions.

Despite his willingness to sacrifice himself for the team, he insists he actually prefers to play in the middle of the park.

"I really feel more comfortable in the middle. I’m better as a midfielder, I really feel comfortable there. I can play defense also because sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself for the club. But I really feel more comfortable in the middle.” Lomotey told Gazette Sports.

"I don’t think my start to the season has been great, I’m not happy with my performance at the moment. I know I can do better and I am working for it."

Amiens are currently 10th on the league table with 23 points after 17 games played so far.

"I think Amiens should be higher, we are not happy with our ranking because we are capable and we have to do better. We should fight with the top teams. We are not satisfied with this position."

Lomotey joined Amiens from Spanish side Extremadura last summer and has since been a key cog of the team.
