Swiss-born Ghanaian defender Gregory Wüthrich scored the winning goal in SK Sturm Graz's 1-0 win against WSG Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The 28-year-old started the game at the Merkur Arena and lasted the full 90 minutes.
SK Sturm got off to a fast start, and despite the tough field conditions, the team had an excellent chance immediately away. In the ninth minute, David Affengruber just missed with a header.
After that, the game leveled off, but neither Black and White relinquished control. Szymon Wodarczyk barely missed out in the 25th minute. With a lob, he struck the crossbar.
Defender Gregory Wüthrich gave the home team the lead in the 44th minute. To make it 1-0, the 28-year-old volleyed a ball and scored from a distance.
The Black and White is currently second in the Austrian Bundesliga with 21 points after nine games.
SK Sturm Graz will play Wolfsberger AC in their next league game.
