Ghana's Michael Baidoo scores for Elfsborg against Varbergs in Sweden

Ghana's Michael Baidoo scored in Elfsborg 3-0 victory against Varbergs in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Wednesday evening.

Elfsborg won 3-0 in the Varberg Energi Arena, with the 23-year-old scoring his eighth goal of the season.

Danish midfielder Jeppe Okkels scored the game's first goal seven minutes into the second half for the visitors.

Elfsborg's lead was extended after five minutes when Baidoo picked up a loose ball and ran between two defenders to send the ball past Varberg's goalkeeper.

Elfsborg secured the win in injury time when substitute Oscar Oga finished off an assist from Alexander Bernhardsson.

Former Ghana U17 defender Gideon Mensah came in in the 66th minute to replace Anton Liljenback as a second-half substitute for Varberg.

Baidoo has been a key player for Elfsborg this season. He has scored eight goals and assisted two goals in 18 appearances.

Elfsborg is currently 7th on the league table with 40 points after 27 games.
