Ghana's Patrick Kpozo joins Czech side FC Banik Ostrava

Czech top-tier club FC Banik Ostrava has announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Patrick Kpozo in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Patrick Kpozo joined the Czech side from Moldovan Super Liga champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday 29th June.

The club's official announcement reads: “The miner has strengthened by the Ghanaian representative Patrick Kpozo! The 25-year-old footballer moved to the left wing of Bazaly from the team of the reigning Moldovan champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol”

The Black Stars defender signed a two-year deal with the Czech top flight club after passing his mandatory medicals. Patrick Kpozo will play under coach Pavel Hapal in the 2023/24 season.

Kpozo finished his remarkable career at FC Sheriff Tiraspol after making 42 appearances for the team and contributing to their two league championships and two FA Cup victories.

In the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification against Madagascar, he made his senior national team debut for Ghana.
