Ghana's Tariq Lamptey grabs assist in Brighton's win against Liverpool

Ghana international Tariq Lamptey provided an assist in Brighton and Hove Albion's win against Liverpool at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.

Lamptey put up a splendid performance as Brighton knocked out the Reds after a 2-1 win in the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round

The defender was handed a starting role and assisted one of his outfit's two goals before he was subbed off at the 90th minute mark for Jan Paul van Hecke.

The visitors shot into the lead through Harvey Elliott in the 30th minute mark but Brighton equalized through Lewis Dunk with an assist from Tariq Lamptey in the 39th minute.

Ibrahima Konate survived a free kick and red card after seeming to elbow the back of Alexis MacAllister's head with the Argentine sprinting through on goal, and Fabinho similarly escaped additional punishment after catching Ferguson's Achilles with a terrible challenge.

In the dying embers of the game, the home team grabbed the match-winner through Kaoru Mitoma.

Tariq Lamptey 22, has made two appearances in the Emirates FA Cup this season.
