Ghana international, Gideon Mensah has recovered from the Coronavirus disease and will be available for selection for the next assignment of the Black Stars.

The full-back tested negative for the deadly disease after returning to his club Victoria SC after the last international break where he featured for Ghana in games against Mali and Qatar.

After staying in isolation and receiving the needed care, Gideon Mensah has made full recovery from the Covid-19. As a result, the defender has returned to training and will be available for selecting in the upcoming weekend.

It comes as a piece of good news to Ghana head coach CK Akonnor who will now have the defender to count on in the next international break.

Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew, Joseph Aidoo, and a few others who tested positive for the Coronavirus are set to undergo another test in hopes of recovering.

If their status does not change in time for next months' international break, they will miss out on the AFCON qualifiers against Sudan.
