Ghana defender Gideon Mensah is unlikely to feature for AJ Auxerre this weekend when the team takes on FC Nantes in the French Ligue 1.
The full-back has only recovered from an injury two days ago and is now working his way back to fitness.
He trained on his own on Wednesday and Thursday with the help of a team physio.
With not many training sessions with his AJ Auxerre teammates, it is highly likely that he will be left out of the team’s matchday squad.
The match between AJ Auxerre and FC Nantes is scheduled to be played on Sunday, April 16.
The game will kick off at 1 pm.
AJ Auxerre are keen on securing a win to amass the maximum three points to increase their chances of escaping relegation at the end of the ongoing 2022/23 French Ligue 1 season.
After this weekend, Gideon Mensah should be back in action in the next game.
