Gilbert Fiamenyo opens up on why he left Hearts of Oak

Former Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has opened up on why he left the club in 2015.

Fiamenyo, who is currently without a club joined the Phobians from Heart of Lions in 2012 but struggled to make an impact due to persistent injuries.

According to the Ghanaian striker, he left Hearts because of monetary issues despite the love he had for the club.

"I left because of monetary issues, I sat with the board and we tried to negotiate but it did not go as planned so I had to leave the club, I would have loved to stay but we couldn't negotiate," Fiamenyo told Max 89.7 FM.

The 28-year-old has previously played for Ebusua Dwarfs, AFC Leopard in Kenya and Libyan club Al-Nasr Benghazi.
