Goalscorer Oxlade-Chamberlain: I know I should be doing better for Liverpool

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain feels he could be doing better after scoring in Liverpool's rout of Swansea City.

The England international is playing some of the best football of his career.

But speaking after his deft finish sealed a 5-0 triumph, Oxlade-Chamberlain said: "We won and we got the three points. But I've got to say I was a bit disappointed with myself today.

"I'm happy I managed to get the goal but I just tried to work hard through the 90 minutes and when the chance came at the end I was happy to put that away. That made it a bit better.

"But I just want more out of myself and there were a few moments when I could have done better with my end product.

"We train every day and when you get into certain situations, you try hard to get into those positions and in this league they don't come too often, so when you get into those areas you want to do better.

"There were a few times today I could have done better for sure, but 5-0 for the boys I'm really happy with that and I just want to keep pushing on and pushing myself to do better. That's why I'm not too happy.

"Scoring goals is important to me and if that helps the team to win we need that. Today wasn't so crucial because we had a good lead but I need to keep doing that, keep getting into goalscoring opportunities and keep putting them away."
