Golden Boy 2023: Ernest Nuamah and Christopher Bonsu Baah make the list

The highly prestigious Golden Boy 2023 list has been unveiled, featuring two exceptional talents who have captivated audiences with their unparalleled skills and charisma.

Emerging as rising stars, Ernest Nuamah and Christopher Bonsu Baah have solidified their positions among the brightest talents of the year.

Italian sports daily Tuttosport, which organizes the award, released the list on Tuesday of the 100 initial names that are competing for the trophy, which was won by Barcelona midfielder Gavi in 2022.

Nuamah started his career with Right to Dream Academy before joining FC Nordsjælland in January 2022.

He made his debut on 10 April 2022 when he came on in the 67th minute for Magnus Kofod Andersen to score an 84th minute goal in a 2–2 draw to Aarhus GF. He was adjudged as the team's man of the match at the end of the match.

In the 2022/23 season, the winger won three awards in Denmark namely Young Player of the Years, the Spring Best Player award (chosen by the Superliga head coaches), and the Player of the Year award (voted by the Superliga players). Nuamah made 30 appearances, scored twelve goals, and provided four assists.

Numah made his Black Stars debut in Ghana's boring goalless draw against Madagascar in the Afcon 2023 qualifiers on Sunday.

Christopher Bonsu Baah joined the Norwegian club Sarpsborg 08 in March this year from Ghana-based Shooting Stars for an undisclosed amount. The 18-year-old winger has been a key player for the team in the Eliteserien. He has made 10 appearances and scored one goal this season.

Ernest Nuamah has a Golden Boy rating of 74.6 and Bonsu Baah is rated at 66.6.
