Harry Zakour, a former Hearts of Oak CEO has urged the government to reduce the taxes on clubs at the various match venues.

Reacting to Ghanaian clubs poor performance in the Caf Champions League and Caf Confederations Cup the experienced football administrator said the clubs don’t have money to prepare well for their campaigns. He added that what they also make at the various stadia is also taken away by the GRA.

“If you go to the stadium how many (supporters) do you find in the stadium unless you do a big advert like Hearts and Kotoko people will fill the stadium or Olympics and Hearts people will feel the stadium. Our Ghana football has totally come down, what I will plead with the government you know the GRA should be reduced because the clubs don’t have money," he said on Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com

"Most of the time when they play big matches like this all the monies go to GRA. Our time we forced but that time the economy was not like today this is what I will plead with the government,"

"They should come down and call the clubs to a meeting, the GFA should meet them, the GRA will be there sit with club and see if they are charging they reduce it to about 10 or 15 I don’t know how many percentage they are paying at this moment. They should reduce it for the clubs, they should let the clubs work free just small percentage,”
