GPL clubs refused to do pressers to promote games when GFA asked them to - Harrison Addo

Ghana Premier League Clubs are not holding pre-match press conferences to promote matches as instructed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), according to the General Secretary of the GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo.

He claims that journalists are opposing the GFA's attempts to impose sanctions on the clubs for non-compliance.

The league has seen a decline in fan attendance, with supporters questioning if betPawa is fulfilling its commitment to promoting the league with the one million dollars it pledged to do so.

"Sometimes it seems FA promotes the games but the clubs do not," Harrison Addo told Akoma FM.

"Clubs were told to do pre-match conference on Thursdays and Fridays, they started and stopped later, and should the FA apply the laws journalists will jump to the conclusion that we ( the FA) are against them."
