Aduana Stars put on a resilient performance on Friday afternoon to brush aside Berekum Chelsea with a narrow 1-0 victory in the first match of Round 4 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
Today's victory was their second win of the season after suffering defeats against Legon Cities and FC Samartex.
The home side started the game well and controlled possession of the ball.
Aduana Stars' first attempt on goal came through a free kick, Derrick Afesson quickly took it but his effort went wide off target.
Berekum Chelsea made some incursions into the box of the home side, Patrick Asiedu played a through ball to Mezack Afriyie who hit the ball towards goal but Bright Enchil was alert to block the shot.
In the 37th minute, Isaac Mintah broke the deadlock for Aduana Stars. He scored the opening goal after goalkeeper Obeng Sekyere failed to save the weak shot.

Aduana Stars is 4th on the league table with six points and Berekum Chelsea is 9th with 4 points.
